Simon Chester is an English/Canadian photographer currently based in Vancouver, Canada.

As a photographer Simon is endlessly looking for new interpretations on classical looks and themes. Drawn heavily to architectural structure and the moments of clarity in the human condition, Simon looks to capture that thing that passes us by all of our lives, a moment. Whether present or absent, the impact of humans on their environment and the impact of the shared space on humans form an underlying basis for most of his work.

A fascination with people and their lives gives rise to a connection with the subject whether shooting models for fashion, individuals (and their loved ones) for portraiture or random encounters on the street.

With an untraditional path into photography, Microbiology through Information Technology, Simon benefits from the ability to draw on a wide range of experiences to influence the direction of his work. A strong background in business and delivering customer requirements ensures work is delivered as specified and to a very high standard.
